BBC reports Guardian Council Ready to Recount
BBC: “Iran’s powerful Guardian Council says it is ready to hold a recount of disputed votes in Friday’s presidential election.” http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/8102400.stm
Many Iranians are in an outrage because there is evidence that many ballot boxes were burned by the government and thus there can be no real recount. There must at the least be another election entirely. What occurs remains to be seen. This could just be a play for time from the increasingly vulnerable system of government in Iran.
Khamenei says it will take ten days to review the votes, which sparks more outrage by Iranians who point to the fact that the government said they were done counting the first time in 2 hours.
