Obama Speech is ‘Perfect’ Many Iranians Say

leave a comment »

Obama delivered a brief four and a half minute speech on the current crisis in enveloping Iran following the apparent rigging of the election. Obama says that while it is  “Up to Iranians to make decisions about who Iran’s leader will be” he, and all Americans, are  “deeply trouble[d] by violence I’ve been seeing,” and all “people committed to democracy feel betrayed”

Her went on to he that Washington “want[s] to avoid the United States being the issue inside of Iran,” saying that ” “we weren’t on the ground there” and thus don’t know the true outcome. He said that while “diplomacy with no illusions… is critical” he doesn’t “want to make any decisions for the Iranian people.” Reports from pro-Mousavi supporters indicate the overall approval of Obama’s speech.
