“The situation is very good”… “Iran is most stable country in the world”
Christiane Amanpour of CNN has asked Ahmadinejad why the election candidates have been arrested and wanted him to guarantee their safety, in which he responded with an analogy of a soccer match, showing how lightly he is taking the matter. He also claims that the protests are good and a sign of a great democratic process. He seems to have appeared on state television in the oppositions colors, which has infuriated many of Mousavi’s supporters, as seen by the Change_For_Iran twitter.
Three hours ago BBC claimed that Mousavi was NOT under house arrest, despite previous assertions that he was.
With claims that this is a “win-win situation” by the interior minister, is this conflict likely to diffuse, or has this ignited a revolution in Iran the likes of which hasn’t been seen since 1979?
